Big Cat Habitat & Gulf Coast Sanctuary began back in 1987 when founder Kay Rosaire began taking in big cats in need. Big Cat Habitat then became a non-profit in 2005 and their mission grew to provide homes for big cats and all sorts of exotic and domestic animals in need of a permanent forever home. Big Cat Habitat provides education to the public to foster appreciation of the animals and the importance of species conservation. Our commitment is for the animal’s lifetime, which for big cats is more than 20 years – double their normal life span in the wild.

Including Big Cat Habitat in your estate planning provides an important legacy that helps us continue in our mission to to provide a safe, loving and permanent home for exotic and domestic animals in need, to educate our visitors on the importance of species preservation and to keep the Human-Animal bond alive in our community and in the world. It also helps you reduce your tax burden by providing a charitable deduction equal to the value of the bequest at the time of your death and ensures that your assets are distributed in accordance with your wishes.
